My Mumm, your Mumm

During the week I received a parcel. Since I am very busy and important aka "have a full-time job", I only had time to pick it up from the post office down the road on Saturday morning. I was expecting a treat from Mama, or perhaps something from the friend that had recently asked for my address, so I took along my shopping bags to pick up some groceries on the way back home, since I don't even get around to that during the week anymore!

Upon arrival at the post office it was clear I wouldn't be doing the shopping on the way back, since this parcel was going to take up all my arm space and carrying strength. What was more irritating however, was the fact that the parcel gave no clues as to who it was from! The box contained a warning that it contained glass, so surely not even Mama would be crazy enough to send me a new set of crockery or the like all the way from New Zealand?! With some hesitation I schlepped it home...

Hastily I tore open the tape to reveal...

This looked promising! Along with six bronzen bottels, a letter from Jules Mumm telling me I was the chosen one. Hehehe! Not quite...I was one of the first chosen few that should sample their new 'Fruity' bubbles

The "price" for my taste-testing-priviledge? Share some pictures of my friends and me enjoying the 'Fruity'. Pah! Nothing easier than that! Sharing is caring...and since I probably shouldn't (not to say I couldn't!) drink six bottles of bubbles by myself, it was clear I needed some girls to help me out, Kathi, and another Julia (just for namesake already!).

The Julses!
They were happy.

The 'Fruity' is described as follows:

In English: Jules Mumm combines lightness and spontaneity with a zest for life. Jules Mumm Fruity captivates with a fascinating scent of orange blossom and apricot. A slight note of nutmeg rounds of its fruity-zesty flavour.

It's all fine and well to have fancy descriptions but could it deliver?

Yes it could! First reaction from all three of us as we took the first sip, "oh". "Oh" as in, this elixir is so good it's dangerous!

Since I like there to be an occasion when drinking bubbles, I had prepared some food to go along with it. Yes, that counts as an occasion, the occasion of sharing a meal! It's never necessary to have an official occasion for consuming bubbles, but it's better, in which case you just celebrate the fact that you're alive and well!

There were stuffed pepperoni, grilled tiger prawns, olive bread, roast aubergine with tomatoes, basil and buffalo mozzarella as well as rocket salad with fresh figs and parmesan. Oh, and of course 'Fruity'! :)

The occasion of a meal is never complete without desert, which naturally I had prepared earlier...

My somewhat made up summer berry "tiramisu". Recipe for this will follow soon, but in the meantime here's its consumption...

The consumption of our 'Fruity' was also going strong. Onto the third bottle, but don't worry we drank responsibly! The aftermath evidence:

1000 Dank Jules Mumm for giving us a "reason" to have to come up with an occasion to celebrate! If you ever need another taste-tester, Fräulein Jules is your gal! (I also specialise in Champagne tasting...hint, hint!).

In the meantime, I shall continue to work my way through the rest of that box...

Zum Wohl!

Yours truly,
Fräulein SoulFood x
